summer is hot with nights that are breezy and smell like the ocean. summer is popsicles eaten outside by the pool. summer is pouring over gardening books getting ready for the fall. summer is elisha learning to swim on top of the water. summer is thinking a lot about fostering. summer is afternoon showers that make me want to take naps with the kids. summer is less laundry because the boys refuse to wear shirts at home. summer is movie theater coldness. summer is the beach on friday evenings. summer is lenna learning to stand on her own and giggle because she knows it’s cute. summer is trips to miami. summer is calmly praying about how to maintain the calmness once what looks to be a full fall starts.

  1. Sounds like a good summer. I love the picture. Keep us posted on your fostering thoughts. If you have any questions about it, feel free to email me. Or check out the fostering category on my blog. I tend to tell it like it is, whether that’s good or bad, I don’t know. Have a great week!
