christmas eve found the boys and me piled on the bed watching yet another viewing of white christmas.  sickness kept us home and i got many, many opportunities to explain how it is exactly that santa would get into the house without a key.  advent readings were read, hymns sung, and kids tucked into bed.

i put in my vote for which christmas 2010 activities should become proper traditions:
visit to the beach
fish tacos at local dive
frozen key lime pie and puerto rican tembleque for christmas dessert

the boys loved christmas morning.  asher put on his new helmet christmas morning and it only comes off occasionally.  elisha loves the scotch tape from his stocking.

lenna scooted around and giggled and chewed on anything that crossed her path.  having a 7 month old around at christmas is fun and i told omar that maybe we could rent one for next year.

Isaiah 9:6 “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

  1. love the jammies. I totally cheaped out on Christmas jammies this year and didn’t buy them, but really wanted them…for all of us!

    and you look great 🙂

    1. the jammies are a gift from grandma and grandpa to all the kiddos each year. perhaps your mama could be convinced with explaining how cute all the pics turn out… 😉

and thank you for the sweet comment. you and ande should come trek south for a visit!

  2. 1. my kids were sick @ christmas, too. i was sad to miss the girls reciting their parts….but happy to cuddle with my little henry and talk about our saviour in 3 yr. old terms. it was really nice…but don’t tell.

    2. you look cool in that picture with the boys. yeah. cool.

    3. don’t rent a baby. get a puppy. jay got me one for christmas and i can’t count how many times i’ve thought “this is so much more fun than any of my children”.
