summer nights

pesto over pasta.  lots of this due to our garden’s basil abundance.  i like to think i’ll never tire of it, but i think i’m pushing my luck.

sparklers.  the boys are scared of them.  i love them.

hose baths for the boys…and girl.

mosquitoes, mosquitoes, mosquitoes.

too much evening coffee.

quick trips out by myself where i find an excuse to drive home along the water with windows down and cold air blasting.

eating two popsicles in a row.

  1. Sparklers still creep me out. You could not pay me to hold one that is lit. Today I am sipping my evening coffee at 10:55 p.m.–addiction is a bad thing. BTW, I love the last picture of you and Lenna. She’s Omar in chick form! So very cute and yummy! Miss you all.

  2. Isn’t it amazing how just a few moments alone will rejuvenate? I’ve laughed a few times recently when I have found myself looking for ways to slip off to the bathroom for a moment of silence.

Our basil plant is doing so well this year too. Parsley and mint, on the other hand, are not so happy with the heat and my infrequent watering.

Love, love that pic of you and Lenna. It’s about time I take a few mama/daughter photos. Can I borrow Elisha to take the shots?
